Every poker player has considered in his career, which skills are necessary and the most important to make him the best player possible. One and basic assurance in being a good poker player is knowledge. Is it the key skill though? All of the players can easily educate themselves. One player would need more time to learn poker tricks, another might get everything much quicker, but it is not some kind of an occult knowledge. It is available to all.
Mathematics in poker is the knowledge available to all poker players as well. There are some people having difficulties with calculations, estimations, etc., but they are able to master it in time. What makes us good poker players then?
First of all the most important factor is a discipline. This would be one of the key skills to master. Lack of discipline can cause loses in our bankroll. Even knowledge of the position in game and selection of hands is not enough when we do not have discipline. Without it we might play a few level lower than disciplined players.
